Houston LEAP Pride Newsletter  October 2019  Good Morning Everyone! I wanted to send an update about the current events and updates on what we have going on. As you may have noticed we are trying out new things, we have our domain for emails, we are working on a website, and trying out newsletter template websites to make it easier for everyone to subscribe and unsubscribe etc. We have a lot of exciting plans going forward with our Organization. The Board is working hard on constructing the Bylaws in order to legitimized our Professionalism and be able to offer more services to you all aside from the social aspect we have been focusing on the last couple of months. We are also quickly planning our first ever ANNUAL Holiday Party to which we hope we can see many of you there! Please stay tune for more details and keep your eyes and ears open to all these exciting features and events!

Community Service Event with SPRY Friday, November 1, 2019 10a to 12p Montrose Center: 401 Branard St For our first Community Service Event we will be getting to know our LGBT Seniors while playing Board Games and having a good time…just bring yourself and your best game face! We are encouraging our members to wear a rainbow color HPD Polo shirt (Red, Pink, Orange, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow) instead of a plain white, gray, or black shirt!  MORE DETAILS

HPOU Family Picnic Saturday, November 9, 2019 @ 12pm (noon) Oil Ranch: 23501 Macedonia Rd, Hockley, TX  We will be meeting at the Union (1600 State St) and driving together to the Picnic. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend! Tickets are FREE but required for entry. Ask Sgt Estrada for details. MORE DETAILS

BYOP Wrapping Party & Annual Holiday Potluck Wednesday, December 11, 2019 @ 4pm (tentative date) Location TBA We will be hosting a Bring Your Own Present party to supply our Seniors from SPRY with Cheers and Presents this year! During our Holiday Party we will be wrapping those presents and delivering them at a later date. To make things interesting a “Best Wrapping Winner” will receive a lucky surprise before the end of the night! Bring your best decorating skills and creative styles! The celebration will continue when all gifts are wrapped with dinner, singing, mingling, and maybe if we are all lucky some dancing! "Required Admissions" will be to bring a present and a dish! A SignUp Genius List is forthcoming with a list of needed gifts, foods, and supplies for the party! Stay Tuned.

Gift Delivery to SPRY Wednesday, December 18, 2019 @ 12pm - 2pm The Montrose Center: 401 Branard St We will be delivering the gifts that we wrapped during our Holiday Party to our Seniors while they are having lunch at their SAGE Lunch Prorgam.  Everyone is Welcome and Encouraged to Join!

January Quarterly Meeting January 14, 2020 @ 12pm (noon)  Starting in January 2020 we will be having Quarterly General membership Meetings. More details soon!
